Maggie Burke has been a New York-based actress for the past 30 years performing leading roles on Broadway, off and off-off Broadway, at regional theatres, on television and in film. Among her theatrical credits are “Brighton Beach Memoirs”, “Driving Miss Daisy”,”Sisters Rosenzweig “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” and “45 Seconds from Broadway”. She played the role of Dr. Audrey Samuels on the daytime serial “As the World Turns” for 10 years and has played guest roles on many episodes of “Law & Order” and “Criminal Intent”. Her film credits include “The Lemon Sisters”, “Husbands and Wives” and “Six Degrees of Separation”. She is a member of LAByrinth Theater Company. Maggie is also a published author writing under the name Marilyn Snyder. Her first book “An Informed Decision” (M. Evans & Co 1985.) was the first book about reconstruction after mastectomy. It was awarded the Guttman Institute Award for Courage and Inspiration. She has spoken on cancer-related issues around the country and has been a panel member on many network television and radio programs. Her first children’s book “A Second Chance for Tina” has just been published by Scholastic, Inc. She is also an inventor, holding the patent on Summa Steam, a hair appliance. She is a member of NYWIFT.
